2005: Creating a buzz
It was a sunny morning in August 2005 when Troy Newton opened the doors to his Main Street diner for the first time.
Armed with a couple of frying pans and supported by his closest friends and family, he could never have guessed what was to begin that day or that his restaurant would grow into one of the most popular in the GTA.
Troy’s Diner became the buzz of Milton and is still running stronger than ever. His open kitchen concept and unique “Coca Cola” red and white décor offers an element of entertainment that can’t be matched anywhere. The cracking of eggs, the buzz of a milkshake machine and the sizzle of a burger on the charbroiler are some of the sounds you will hear tableside while you soak in the visual extravaganza of trivia and memorabilia.
Troy’s homestyle cooking, down to earth menu and courteous and friendly staff will make your visit an enjoyable one with a desire to return. 2008: Best Western location opens
Troy’s Bar and Grill at the Best Western Milton Inn opened in 2008 under the watchful eye and steady hand of Troy’s sister, Crystal Newton. “The Grill” would be considered by some to be the “alter” experience to the Main Street diner providing a more contemporary and sophisticated atmosphere for its patrons.
“The Grill” offers a full bar with a dark wood décor and a smattering of Troy’s well known Coca Cola memorabilia. The homestyle cooking hasn’t changed, offering up a fuller, more robust menu for those looking for a little more. As well, Troy’s Bar and Grill offers full catering services on-site or at your location.
Once again, the All-Day Breakfast is a BIG favorite. Whether you come in for a light breakfast or a hearty steak dinner you’ll be sure to get what you want. Troy’s highly trained chefs and professional staff will help make your visit an enjoyable one.
